What We Believe
Rooted in Scripture. Centered on Jesus. Lived Out Together.

The Scriptures
We believe the Bible, made up of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God—true, authoritative, and without error in the original writings. It is our final authority for faith, life, and practice (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21).

God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God—equal in power and glory, and worthy of worship—yet there is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19).

Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became fully human without ceasing to be fully God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as our substitute, rose bodily from the grave, ascended into heaven, and will return one day in power and glory to judge and restore all things (John 1:14; Colossians 1:15–20; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4).

The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and actively at work in the world. He convicts of sin, gives new life, indwells believers, distributes spiritual gifts, empowers us for holy living, and sends us on mission (John 16:8–11; Ephesians 1:13–14; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11).

Humanity & Sin
We believe all people are created in the image of God with dignity and worth, yet through sin we are separated from God and unable to save ourselves. Humanity is in need of redemption and reconciliation with God (Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23).

Salvation
We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus has secured forgiveness of sins and eternal life for all who trust in Him (Ephesians 2:8–9; John 3:16).

The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who have been born again through faith in Jesus. The local church is called to gather for worship, teaching, fellowship, and prayer, and to go into the world making disciples of all nations. We affirm baptism and the Lord’s Supper as the ordinances given by Christ to His Church (Acts 2:42; Matthew 28:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26).

Complementarian Convictions
We believe men and women are equally created in the image of God, equal in dignity, value, and worth, and both called to use their gifts in the life of the church. At the same time, God has given men and women distinct yet complementary roles in the home and in the church. We affirm that the office of elder/pastor is reserved for qualified men, as taught in Scripture, while both men and women are called to lead, serve, and disciple in ways that build up the body of Christ (Genesis 1:27; 1 Timothy 2:12–3:7; Titus 1:5–9).

Gender, Marriage, and Family
We believe God created humanity in His image, male and female, equal in dignity, value, and worth. Gender is a good gift from God, given at creation, and not interchangeable or self-determined (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 139:13–16).

We believe marriage is designed by God to be a covenant union between one man and one woman for life. Within marriage, husband and wife are called to reflect Christ’s love for His Church through sacrificial love, mutual service, and joyful complementarity (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6; Ephesians 5:22–33).

We believe sexual intimacy is a gift from God to be expressed only within the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman. Any distortion of this design—including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, and all other sexual sin—is outside of God’s will and harmful to human flourishing (1 Corinthians 6:9–20; Hebrews 13:4).

We believe the family is the foundational unit of society and a primary means by which faith is passed from generation to generation. Parents are called to disciple their children in the knowledge and ways of the Lord (Deuteronomy 6:4–9; Ephesians 6:1–4).

Resurrection & Eternity
We believe Jesus will return to judge the living and the dead, bringing final justice and the renewal of all things. Those who belong to Christ will live with Him forever in the new heavens and new earth, while those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 21:1–5).

Historic Faith

We are united with the global and historic Church in affirming the Apostles’, Nicene, and Chalcedonian Creeds as accurate representations of Scripture’s teaching. These creeds remind us that we stand in a long line of believers who have confessed the same truths about God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — and about the salvation made possible through Jesus Christ alone.
